Permanent residence permit
A permanent residence permit is a residence permit that entitles a foreigner to stay in Poland for an indefinite period of time. While obtaining a residence permit for a long-term EU resident requires, among others, staying in Poland for a specified period of time, having a source of income or confirmed knowledge of the Polish language, in order to obtain this permit, in principle, a certain connection with Poland must be presented. It can be demonstrated by marrying a Polish citizen, having Polish origins or having a Pole's Card.
Permanent residence permit is also granted to foreigners in some other circumstances. The law does not require knowledge of the Polish language to obtain this permit. A permanent residence permit entitles you to stay in Poland indefinitely, and also gives you the freedom to run a business and full access to the labor market. This permit also allows you to apply for Polish citizenship in the future.
