Work permit

  • Citizens of some non-EU countries are exempt from the obligation to obtain a work permit, and Polish regulations provide some other exemptions.
  • Obtaining the permit for some professions requires obtaining the so-called labor market test.
  • This is a permit that allows a foreign national to work in Poland. The permit is issued at the request of the employer.
  • The permit is not of a general nature and applies to a specific employer and a specific position or type of work that the foreigner intents to perform.
  • The work permit precisely defines the conditions under which the work is to be performed. Performing work contrary to the terms of the permit is considered to be illegal work.
  • A foreign national needs to have an appropriate legal grounds for stay in Poalnd to work with a work permit. This means that in order to work legally in Poland, a foreigner must have both a work permit and an appropriate visa or another form of legal stay, e.g. a residence permit.

We obtain work permits for our clients, type A (for foreigners employed directly by a Polish company), type B (for members of the management board and proxies in the company), as well as work permits for employees delegated to Poland (types C, D and E).
