Polish citizenship

Polish roots, or years of life in Poland? There may be a route to a Polish passport

Many people with a Polish parent, grandparent or great-grandparent are already Polish citizens without knowing it – it only needs to be confirmed. Others can become citizens after living in Poland. We check which route fits your situation, search the archives for the documents and handle the proceedings, also when you live abroad.

Every case depends on documents and on the law in force at the time of birth, emigration or naturalisation, so we start with an assessment.

What do you need?

Immigration services in Poland: find your route

Each guide explains who qualifies, what to file and what it costs, and names the attorney responsible for that area.

How it works

From first message to decision

  1. Tell us your situation

A short description is enough for us to say whether you need a lawyer at all, and which route applies.

  2. Written quote

A fixed fee for the whole matter, in writing, before we start. If an appeal is possible, you know its cost upfront.

  3. We prepare and file

A document list for your case, the application, and representation before the voivodeship office.

  4. Through to the decision

We answer requests for documents, chase delays and handle appeals until your case is closed.

How we work

Four things to know before you instruct anyone

We tell you when you don't need us

If you already have the right you are asking about, that is the first thing you will hear.

No numbers we can't stand behind

Processing times depend on the office and are measured in months. We don't publish guesses.

The lawyer does the work

You deal with the attorney handling your case, not an account manager who relays it.

Privileged from the first message

Attorneys-at-law are bound by professional secrecy, whether or not you go on to instruct us.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be in Poland to instruct you?

+

No. Most matters run by e-mail and online meetings. A few steps must be done in person, such as giving fingerprints at the voivodeship office and collecting your residence card; we tell you exactly when.

How much will it cost?

+

We quote a fixed fee for the whole matter, in writing, before we start. Official fees (stamp duty and the card fee) are separate, and we give you the amounts upfront.

How long will my case take?

+

It depends on the voivodeship office, and is usually measured in months. We don't publish an average because no reliable one exists. What we control is filing a complete application, which avoids the most common delays.

Is my stay legal while I wait for the decision?

+

In most cases, yes. If you file a formally complete application while your stay is still legal, your stay is treated as legal until the decision becomes final. We check whether this applies to you before you file.

My case is taking too long. What can I do?

+

The law gives you tools: a reminder to the authority (ponaglenie), and then a complaint to the administrative court about inaction. We assess whether and when they make sense in your case.

Do you also work with employers?

+

Yes, half of our practice is employers: work permits, EU Blue Cards, intra-corporate transfers, posted workers and compliance. We don't recruit; we make the employment you've arranged lawful.

Tell us what you are dealing with

A short description is enough for us to say whether you need a lawyer, which route applies and what it would involve. If you can do it yourself, we'll tell you that too.
