Residence card fee – how much is it? An application for a temporary residence permit for a foreigner requires payment of a stamp duty. The fee for the residence card is paid by the foreigner only after the permit has been granted.

Amount of fees for the temporary residence permit application

440 PLN - temporary residence and work permit
440 PLN - temporary residence permit for employment requiring high qualifications
340 PLN - temporary residence permit for work performed by a foreigner delegated by a foreign employer to the territory of the Republic of Poland
340 PLN - temporary residence permit for conducting business activity
340 PLN - temporary residence permit for the purpose of studying at a university
340 PLN - temporary residence permit for conducting scientific research
340 PLN - temporary residence permit for family members of citizens of the Republic of Poland and family members of foreigners
340 PLN - temporary residence permit due to other circumstances
340 PLN - temporary residence permit due to circumstances requiring a short-term stay (where the presence of the foreigner on the territory of the Republic of Poland is required due to an exceptional personal situation)
85 PLN - temporary residence permit due to circumstances requiring a short-term stay (when the foreigner is required to appear in person before a Polish public authority or when the interest of the Republic of Poland requires the presence of the foreigner on the territory of the Republic of Poland)

The stamp duty for the temporary residence permit application is paid to the bank account or at the cash desk of the village mayor/town mayor/city president (the competent municipal office) appropriate for the seat of the authority issuing the permit.

Residence card fee – how much is it?

A residence card is issued to a foreigner who has been granted a temporary residence permit. The fees for issuing a residence card are as follows:
100 PLN - for issuing a residence card, except for the cases listed below
50 PLN - for issuing a residence card for: 1) foreigners in difficult financial situations; 2) foreigners whose purpose of stay is to study at a post-secondary school or university in the territory of the Republic of Poland; 3) minor foreigners who on the day of submitting the application for issuing or replacing the residence card or document have not reached the age of 16;
200 PLN - for replacement of a residence card in the event of loss or damage caused by the foreigner
300 PLN - for replacement of a residence card in the event of another loss or another damage caused by the foreigner

Revenue from the issuance and replacement of residence cards constitutes income for the state budget, and the fee is paid to the bank account of the competent voivodeship office.
